FALLOUT

They were told to fall out. Nobody told them where to go.

Confronting veteran homelessness through the gap between public honor and everyday reality.

Strategy, concepts, copy and direction by Jay Corey, made with AI tools as part of the practice. How I work.

The story
behind it.

01Why I made it

As a U.S. Veteran, I came to this after serving as a Grand Jury Foreperson and spending a year researching homelessness. A lot of Veterans are homeless. We all know it. What we rarely talk about is how many VA resources go unused. Connecting them to the people who need them could mean no Veteran who served this country spends another unhoused night alone in the cold. With this many resources available, having them go unused while those who stood for our freedoms sleep unsheltered is a huge societal miss.

02The problem

Many Veterans are homeless, and ample VA resources never get used.

03The idea

Connect unused VA resources to the Veterans who need them. FALLOUT is an awareness campaign about that gap.
